Why I Love Freelancing!

Have you ever tried working with somebody giving orders or working with a boss where you have to follow or obey orders even you don't want to. Someone is manipulating your time and freedom. Or have you ever worked as a freelancer and you can do things you love at anytime and anywhere you want? Well, I tried both.

I love freelancing because it gives me the work freedom I want. Freedom to choose my own project, schedule and place to work at.

Freelancing vs. Employee

Before the COVID-19 pandemic, I have been working as cashier and encoder on a bakery. I have to prepare too early because my workplace is in the neighboring town, Nabunturan, and got home late at night. I am always lack of sleep and that makes me sleepy at work. Commuting was also a hassle for me. I feel exhausted and sometimes frustrated because of my co-workers and pressure from the employer. Experiencing workplace burnout was never a good experience working as an employee. Even if I like the work, I often thinking the life I had before as a freelance worker.

With my small freelancing business at my former hometown, Surallah, though lesser income yet, I feel contented because I do have a lot of time to spend for my self and my family. I could also travel on various places with my friends and family. Later, when the pandemic started, I stopped working at the bakery for my safety and my family as well. I attended our farm and enjoy the work their. I have the freedom I want. Freelancing is really my choice of work.

Enrolling a Freelancing Course

Since some of my friends at my former hometown and here were Virtual Assistants, my husband encourage me to become a Virtual Assistant also. I have to consider his words and try it since it is not always busy at the farm, I still have time to do something. And because health safety is important, I look for something that I can take advantage of the situation so I agree with him because I can have flexible time in freelancing.

Yes, I do have the knowledge in computer but I'm hesitant if I can do the task of a Virtual Assistant.
